From broke and burnt out to building freedom for thousands.

Amir's Journey
From Jerry Cans to Freedom Plans
Years ago, during the 2013 Brisbane floods, I was working as a casual kitchenhand where no shift meant no pay. I had gone home for a break, but by the time I needed to return, the streets were underwater and the roads to the restaurant were blocked.
The restaurant was only a few hundred metres away. So I made a decision that looking back now, I never should have made.
I decided to go through the floodwaters so I can go to work and get paid.
At first, the water was ankle-deep. Then knee-deep. Then waist-deep. Before long, I was swimming through dark, dirty floodwater, dodging debris, trying to get to the other side.
Not because I was brave.
Not because I was committed.
Because I couldn’t afford to miss that shift. I needed the $100 it was going to pay.
That moment stayed with me. It taught me something I will never forget: when survival is at stake, money can make people say yes to things every part of them wants to say no to.
That is what Freedom Gameplan is all about.
It is not about getting rich. It is about getting free.
Amir's Journey
The Beginning Was Not Glamorous
My journey did not start with confidence, polished strategies or perfect decisions. It started with pressure, mistakes and hard lessons.
The Jerry Can Years
In my early 20s, my partner Renee and I found ourselves so broke we couldn’t even afford fuel to get to work.
We used to search between car seats for coins just to buy fuel. I would walk to the service station with a small jerry can, buy a couple of litres of petrol, pour it into the car and hope it was enough to get me to work.
At the time, I was washing dishes and working long hours just to keep life moving.
Renee had also lost her business after her car, which was essential for her work as a personal trainer, was written off. Our bank account was often in the negative. Bills felt heavier. Small setbacks felt enormous. And when money is tight, every problem seems to multiply.
But those years shaped us.
They taught me grit. They taught me humility. And they taught me that financial pressure is not just about numbers.
It affects your sleep.
It affects your relationships.
It affects your confidence.
It affects your choices.
And most importantly, it affects your freedom.

Amir's Journey
Why I Became Obsessed With Freedom
Over time, I realised the real purpose of money is not to accumulate more of it for its own sake.
The real purpose of money is to create choice. The choice to spend more time with the people you love. The choice to walk away from work that drains you. The choice to make decisions from clarity rather than fear. The choice to build a life on your terms. That idea became the foundation of everything I now teach.
I call the trap many people live in the wage cage: the invisible cycle of mortgages, bills, routines and financial pressure that quietly shapes your life.
Most people are not reckless with money. They are not lazy. They are not foolish. They are simply stuck in a system they were never properly taught how to escape.
That is why I created Freedom Gameplan.
Amir's Journey
Becoming a Financial Planner
Today, I am a licensed financial planner, entrepreneur, speaker and author.
I hold relevant degrees and specialised designations. But what shaped my approach was not just study or credentials. It was sitting across from real Australians and hearing the same questions again and again:
- “Where should I start?”
- “Am I doing the right thing?”
- “How do I actually get ahead?”
- “How can I retire earlier?”
- “How can I stress less about money?”
- “How can I stress less about money?”
Over time, I realised people do not need more jargon.
They need clarity.
They need structure.
They need a practical gameplan they can actually follow.
That is why Freedom Gameplan is written for Australians and built around the realities of our system, not generic overseas money advice that does not fit our tax, superannuation, property and investment landscape.

Amir's Journey
The Freedom Gameplan Philosophy
Freedom Gameplan is built around one central idea: your Freedom Score™.
Your Freedom Score is a way to measure how much of your life is supported by financial independence, and how much still depends on a pay cheque.
When your Freedom Score is low, your choices are limited. When it improves, your options expand.
The book then gives readers a practical framework for improving that score through the Freedom Framework™:
Think — sharpen your money mindset.
Plan — build your RICH Trifecta™.
Do — apply tactics that work.
Gear Up — use the right tools to support your plan.
The aim is not to chase hype, shortcuts or speculative wins. It is to build a life with more wealth, more time and more choice.

Why I Created the Freedom Gameplan Community
A book can open the door, but people often need support to keep going. That is why I created the Freedom Gameplan Community.
It is a place for readers to connect, learn, share ideas, ask questions, access tools, and stay accountable as they apply the lessons from the book.
The community exists because financial freedom is not built from inspiration alone. It is built through repeated action.
Small steps.
Better decisions.
Clearer thinking.
Consistent progress.
The goal is to help people move from feeling stuck and uncertain to feeling clear, supported and in motion.

Rodnia Wealth Partners
For those who want personalised financial advice, I founded Rodnia Wealth Partners.
Rodnia Wealth Partners is the advice firm built around the same philosophy as Freedom Gameplan: strategy first, practical implementation, and a deep focus on helping clients build life on their terms.
The book teaches the principles. The community supports the journey. Rodnia Wealth Partners helps clients apply strategy to their personal situation. No two lives are the same. A good financial plan is not just about products, investments or spreadsheets. It is about understanding what matters, building the right structure, and creating a plan that supports the life you actually want to live.
What I believe
I believe financial freedom is not about never working again. It is about choice. I believe wealth is not the destination. It is the tool. I believe most people do not need more noise. They need a clear path. I believe Australians deserve financial education that actually fits our system. And I believe that no matter where someone starts, the right knowledge, structure and action can change the direction of their life.
My mission
My mission is simple:
To help Australians escape the wage cage and build lives of greater freedom, wealth and choice.
Not through hype.
Not through shortcuts.
Not through pretending money is the only thing that matters.
But through strategy, clarity and action.
Because your life is too valuable to be spent merely surviving.
You deserve a gameplan.
And your freedom is worth building.
